The Zeekr Mix is smaller than Zeekr’s other MPV, the 009, meaning the price could be lower.

(Zeekr has filed for a new model called the Zeekr Mix, which is expected to be its second MPV after the Zeekr 009.)

Zeekr, the premium electric vehicle (EV) subsidiary of Geely Holding Group, has filed for a new model called Zeekr Mix, which is expected to be its second MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) model after the Zeekr 009.

China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) yesterday released the latest batch of models that will soon be allowed to be sold in its catalog for public comment, and the Zeekr Mix is included.

The public can submit their feedback between March 13 and March 19. Entering the catalog is the last major regulatory process by which a model can be allowed to be sold in China.

There are two Zeekr Mix models on the catalog with model number MR6471BEV02 and MR6471BEV04, both of which are single-motor models manufactured in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, where Zeekr is headquartered.

The Zeekr Mix measures 4,688 mm in length, 1,995 mm in width and 1,755 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,008 mm, according to its filing pages.

For comparison, the six-seat Zeekr 009 currently on sale has a length, width and height of 5,209 mm, 2,024 mm and 1,848 mm respectively, and a wheelbase of 3,205 mm.

The Zeekr Mix is powered by an electric motor supplied by a subsidiary of Geely Holding called Jidian, with a maximum power of 310 kW.

Both versions of the Zeekr Mix are powered by lithium ternary batteries, supplied by a joint venture between CATL and Geely.

Currently, Zeekr models on sale include the Zeekr 001, Zeekr 009, Zeekr X, and Zeekr 007.

The Zeekr 009 was initially launched on November 1, 2022, and is Zeekr’s second model after the Zeekr 001, with deliveries beginning in February 2023.

On January 15, Zeekr rolled out a refreshed version of the Zeekr 009, which continues to be offered in two trims, but with a starting price that has been slightly increased by RMB 1,000 ($140) to RMB 500,000 from previously.

The smaller size of the Zeekr Mix means the price should be lower than the Zeekr 009.

Zeekr delivered 118,685 vehicles in 2023, up 64.98 percent year-on-year.

Zeekr’s goal for 2024 is to deliver 230,000 vehicles, double from 2023, a company spokesperson told CnEVPost in January.

    ($1 = RMB 7.1877)
