Zeekr, the premium electric vehicle (EV) subsidiary of Geely Holding Group, delivered a record 13,077 vehicles in October, according to data released by the company today.

That’s up 29.2 percent from 10,119 vehicles in the same month last year and up 8.5 percent from 12,053 vehicles in September.

In addition to record deliveries, Zeekr also received a record number of firm orders in October, the company said, without disclosing the number of orders.

In the January-October period, Zeekr delivered 92,105 vehicles, up 85.72 percent year-on-year.

By the end of October, Zeekr had delivered 170,053 vehicles since its inception, data monitored by CnEVPost showed.

Zeekr is aiming to double its deliveries to about 140,000 vehicles this year compared to last year, which means it will need to deliver an average of about 24,000 vehicles per month for the next two months to reach its goal.

On August 11, Zeekr announced that customers who buy the Zeekr 001 during the year will receive a discount of up to RMB 37,000 yuan ($5,060).

The Zeekr 001, Zeekr’s first model, was launched on April 17, 2021, and deliveries began in October 2021.

The Zeekr 001 is the company’s main selling model and currently has a starting price of RMB 269,000 after the discounts. It has two other models on sale — the Zeekr 009 MPV, and the Zeekr X city SUV.

On October 16, Zeekr expanded its limited-time purchase entitlement to cover its other two models, offering benefits including an option fund and a 0 percent interest loan.

Zeekr is entering international markets and has already sent its first export vehicles to Europe.

The company will officially start selling vehicles in Sweden and the Netherlands in November, and next year it will sell in major developed countries in Western Europe, Zeekr said today.

Zeekr’s presence in Europe is expected to grow to six countries by 2024, and enter eight countries by 2025, it said.

Zeekr will also expand into the Middle East, Central Asia, Southeast Asia, and South America to bring the ultimate travel experience to users around the world, the company said.
