You Can Still Get A Polestar 3 With An Outrageous Discount

    • Every trim of the electric Polestar 3 is available with the Polestar Clean Vehicle Incentive, which knocks up to $18,000 off its MSRP.
    • That means a single-motor, rear-wheel drive Polestar 3 can be had for a little under $50,000, before other fees.
    • The offer is available to qualified customers who finance the car with Polestar.

Nobody in America is being quiet about it anymore: new cars feel way too expensive. With the average price now around $50,000 and discounts like electric-vehicle tax credits no longer available, car shoppers are seeking any opportunity to save a few bucks.

But how about $18,000 of them? That’s the discount that can be found at your local (if you have one, anyway) Polestar retailer these days. The electric Polestar 3 SUV remains available with what the automaker calls the Polestar Clean Vehicle Incentive, and it can knock up to 20 grand off the sticker price of a new model.

That’s one of the most aggressive deals on any new car for sale in the United States, let alone one with specs as impressive as this.

We spotted this discount in our December roundup of the best new EV financing and lease deals. It is available across every trim level of Polestar 3, so long as buyers qualify with good credit and finance—not lease—through Polestar itself. The offer is available until Jan. 2.

One bit of fine print: the deal applies to 2025 model-year Polestar 3s, and the 2026 car gets some major upgrades. Those include an 800-volt electrical architecture for faster charging speeds, a new and more powerful central computer and new batteries. Still, a deal is a deal, and the 2025s are worth considering at these prices.

The long-range, rear-wheel-drive, single-motor Polestar 3 can now be had for $49,500 with this discount, excluding any delivery fees and taxes. That gets you 350 miles of range, 299 horsepower and 250-kilowatt charging speeds for a 30-minute recharge time from 10% to 80%. It also gets an excellent Android Automotive OS-based software system with Google Built-In, and one of the best-handling chassis in the entire EV field.

Upgrade to the long-range, dual-motor model and the deal is arguably even better. That bumps power to 489 hp while keeping a very healthy 315 miles of range, all for $55,400, before fees. Tack on the performance pack for 517 hp and 279 miles of range, and you’re looking at $61,400—down from almost $80,000 previously.

If the “average” new car in America now costs about $50,000, that’s still what many people would consider high—and up more than $10,000 from even six years ago. So if you’re going to spend that much, you may as well get a lot, and this performance-focused electric SUV comes with some enticing specs.

While Polestar’s future has felt a bit murky lately, the Volvo corporate cousin seems to be on a bit of an upswing globally. Aggressive pricing on the Polestar 3, plus the upcoming Polestar 4 SUV-coupe, may help to juice sales in America. For now, a trip to your Polestar store can yield some very solid savings.
