The vehicles — the Xpeng G9 and P7 — will officially enter the Israeli market in October through one of the country’s largest dealerships, Freesbe.

Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV) has begun shipping hundreds of electric vehicles (EVs) to Israel, after the Chinese company announced plans to enter the Middle Eastern country in July.

Xpeng began shipping 750 units of the G9 SUV as well as the P7 sedan to Israel today from Guangzhou, the city where it is headquartered, and held a ceremony for the occasion, according to a press release.

This is Xpeng’s single largest shipment to an overseas market and the second shipment of vehicles to Israel this month, according to the company.

Xpeng did not release information about the last shipment of vehicles to Israel, and a spokesperson told CnEVPost that the company’s first shipment of vehicles to Israel left Shanghai earlier this month.

Xpeng expects the G9s and P7s to officially enter the Israeli market in October through Freesbe, one of the largest dealers in the region, according to Eric Xu, vice president and head of the company’s international business.

The vehicles the company is sending to Israel are based on the European version of the models and have been adapted for local consumer needs, according to Xpeng.

Xpeng announced on July 10 that it had entered into a strategic partnership with Freesbe, previously known as Carasso Motors, which will develop Xpeng’s sales and service network in the Middle Eastern country.

Freesbe is a publicly traded company in Israel that represents brands such as Nissan, Infiniti, Renault, and DACIA. Its lease4u is one of the largest rental companies in Israel.

“We have seen the huge potential of Israel EV market and would like to bring local customers a new level of sophistication with our leading technologies and premium EV products,” Xu said in July.

Together, Xpeng and Freesbe will expand their sales network in Israel to cover major cities including Tel Aviv, Haifa and Jerusalem by 2024, the company said today.

Israel is Xpeng’s first stop in the Middle East market, and the company will next enter more neighboring countries to accelerate its globalization process, it said.

Xpeng partners with local dealer to tap Israel market as it steps up efforts in global arena
