Wuling offers PEHV and BEV options for the updated Starlight S, with the BEV variant offering a range of up to 510 kilometers.

SAIC-GM-Wuling today launched the 2025 Wuling Starlight S, another affordable new energy SUV (sport utility vehicle) model for the Chinese market.
The Wuling Starlight S is available in plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) and battery electric vehicle (BEV) options, with driver assistance systems available as optional extras.
It has four PHEV variants, with starting prices of RMB 99,800 ($13,900), RMB 109,800, RMB 119,800, and RMB 129,800.
The vehicle has two BEV variants, with starting prices of RMB 119,800 and RMB 129,800.
Wuling is offering customers who purchase the vehicle now a discount that includes a RMB 10,000 trade-in subsidy and up to RMB 5,000 in financing subsidies.
The SUV is 4,745 mm long, 1,890 mm wide, and 1,680 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,800 mm.
The BEV variants come standard with a front motor with a maximum power of 150 kW (204 horsepower) and a maximum torque of 310 Nm, supporting a top speed of 175 kilometers per hour.
The variants offers a 60-kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery with a CLTC pure electric range of 510 kilometers.
The updated Wuling Starlight S PHEV comes standard with a 1.5 L engine with a maximum power of 78 kW and a maximum torque of 130 Nm.
The hybrid variants are equipped with an electric motor with a maximum power of 150 kW and a maximum torque of 310 Nm, supporting a maximum speed of 170 km/h.
They are equipped with LFP batteries with a capacity of 9.5 kWh or 20.5 kWh, offering a CLTC pure electric range of 60 kilometers or 130 kilometers. These hybrid variants achieve a combined range of over 1,100 kilometers when fully fueled and charged.
