    • RoboSense sold 459,600 units in the fourth quarter of 2025, with robotics LiDAR accounting for nearly half of the volume.
    • RoboSense’s robotics LiDAR sales exceeded 303,000 units in 2025, representing an increase of over 1,142% compared to 2024.

Chinese LiDAR maker RoboSense Technology (HKG: 2498) has forecasted its first-ever quarterly profit as it saw a surge in robotics LiDAR sales amid business diversification.

RoboSense issued a profit alert on Thursday, announcing it expects to achieve quarterly net income of no less than RMB 60 million ($8.7 million) in the fourth quarter of 2025, fulfilling management’s commitment made during its third-quarter earnings call.

The achievement marks a new chapter in the company’s financial trajectory, driven by its strategic expansion from the automotive sector into the high-growth, high-margin robotics market, RoboSense said in a release.

This reflects explosive growth in RoboSense’s robotics LiDAR business, with the company projecting robotics LiDAR sales exceeding 303,000 units in 2025 — a year-on-year increase of over 1,142% compared to 2024.

The growth solidifies the company’s position as a leading global supplier to the robotics industry, RoboSense said.

Of the 459,600 units sold in the fourth quarter of 2025, LiDAR for robotics contributed 221,200 units, nearly matching sales of LiDAR for ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).

The diversified 1:1 revenue structure provides RoboSense with greater resilience and higher profit potential, the company said.

This stands in stark contrast to a year ago. In 2024, RoboSense sold a total of 544,200 LiDAR units, with automotive ADAS products accounting for a dominant 95.52% share, while robotics and other applications contributed only about 24,400 units, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.

“We believe RoboSense’s ability to monetize the automotive sector and the robotics boom offers a compelling narrative on the future of the LiDAR industry — marking a strategic direction toward a dual-engine growth model characterized by diversified profitability,” it said.

RoboSense has established first-mover advantage in automotive LiDAR. In June last year, the company became the world’s first to surpass 1 million units delivered for automotive LiDAR.

The company also expects its full-year net loss attributable to shareholders for 2025 to narrow significantly to no more than RMB 180 million, representing a reduction of over 60% from RMB 481.8 million in 2024.

The company noted that this financial improvement is partly attributable to net gains from financial assets measured at fair value through profit or loss. Audited results for fiscal year 2025 are expected to be released by the end of March 2026.

RoboSense secures order for 1 million LiDARs from Dongfeng Nissan following FAW Toyota deal

RoboSense will supply LiDAR products for multiple Dongfeng Nissan models, with deliveries commencing in 2026.
