Geely Galaxy will launch a new hybrid sedan, the A7, as the Geely Auto sub-brand continues to enrich its product matrix.
China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) today released a new regulatory catalog for public comment, and the Geely Galaxy A7 is included.
The public can submit feedback between May 24-30. Entry into the catalog is the last major regulatory process by which a model can be allowed to be sold in China.
There are three pages for the Geely Galaxy A7 in the catalog, with the model numbers MR7151DCHEV101, MR7151DCHEV102, and MR7151DCHEV109.
They are all plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) models and are manufactured at a Geely production site in Guiyang, Guizhou.
The five-seater sedan measures 4,918 mm in length, 1,905 mm in width and 1,495 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,845 mm.
It is available in 1,599 kg and 1,735 kg versions in terms of curb weight and supports a top speed of 190 km/h.
The Geely Galaxy A7 has an engine with a displacement of 1,499 ml and a power of 82 kW.
The model comes with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries from suppliers including CALB, CATL.
The A7 is expected to be the latest addition to the Geely Galaxy brand’s sedan array, which currently includes the hybrid Starshine 8 and L6, as well as the all-electric E8.
