Aito’s single-month delivery capacity in 2024 is expected to reach 30,000 vehicles, it said.

(Aito did not announce September 2023 deliveries.)

Aito, the new energy vehicle (NEV) brand backed by Chinese tech giant Huawei, saw record deliveries in November, with the new M7 bringing in more than 100,000 firm orders in less than three months since its launch.

Aito delivered a record 18,827 vehicles in November, up 127.93 percent year-on-year and up 48.24 percent from 12,700 in October, according to figures it released today.

The new Aito M7 delivered 15,242 units in November, contributing 81 percent. The model has accumulated more than 27,000 deliveries since its September 12 launch.

Aito is ramping up its delivery capacity and expects to deliver 23,000 units in December and monthly delivery capacity is expected to reach 30,000 units in 2024, it said.

Aito is a premium NEV brand launched on December 2, 2021 by Huawei and Seres Group. It started deliveries of its first model, Aito M5, in March 2022 and Aito M7 in August 2022.

The Aito M5 is offered in both extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) versions as well as battery electric vehicle (BEV) versions, while the M7 is offered only in EREV versions.

Richard Yu, Huawei’s head of automotive business, launched the new Aito M7 at an event on September 12, lowering the starting price by RMB 40,000 ($5,600) compared to the model previously on sale.

The five-seat version of the new Aito M7 offers three options with starting prices of RMB 249,800, RMB 284,800 and RMB 309,800 respectively. Its six-seat version offers two options with starting prices of RMB 269,800 and RMB 329,800, respectively.

On November 28, Aito added two versions to the new M7 with starting prices of RMB 289,800 and RMB 309,800, respectively.

On November 27, Aito said the new M7 had accumulated more than 100,000 firm orders after two and a half months on the market.

Aito delivered 12,700 vehicles in October, of which the new M7 contributed 10,547, or 83 percent, according to figures it announced last month.

In September, monthly production of the M7 was 5,000 units, in October it exceeded 10,000 units, and the next target is 20,000-30,000 units per month, local media outlet Yicai said in a November 23 story, citing a Seres source.
