Xpeng delivered 13,690 vehicles in August, the highest since June 2022 when it delivered 15,295 units, data released today showed. The delivery was up 42.93 percent year-on-year and up 24.36 percent from July, marking the seventh consecutive month of sequential growth. In the January-August period, Li Auto’s market share in China for NEVs of RMB 300,000 and above exceeded 30 percent, the company said. Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI) saw another record month of deliveries, although the growth rate slowed due to capacity bottlenecks. Li Auto delivered 34,914 vehicles in August, up 2.29 percent from July and up 663.82 percent year-on-year, according to data released by the company today. Tesla on Thursday revealed the revamped version of its Model 3, which had previously been codenamed “Highland”—offered initially for order in Europe. The exterior styling refresh for the Model 3 is “optimized for maximum aerodynamics,” according to Tesla. Images released by Tesla showed a mildly redesigned front end plus new headlights, and what appears to be changes to the sedan’s side sculpting. Taillights also appear to follow a new design.
