Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) has filed for a new Model Y in China, with radar as an option, the latest regulatory filing shows.

China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released its latest catalog of models that will be allowed to be sold for public comment today, and the Model Y is included.

The public can submit feedback between October 17 and October 23. Entering the catalog is the last major regulatory process by which a model can be allowed to be sold in China.

The Model Y is listed on two pages in the catalog, with the model numbers TSL6480BEVAR3 and TSL6480BEVAR4. Apart from the differences in the model numbers and the images in the filing, the information on these two pages is identical.

The Model Y supports options for radar, different style wheels, and front fog lights, according to the text in these two pages.

Their batteries are lithium iron phosphate and the supplier is Tesla’s partner CATL.

Both models of the Model Y are powered by a single motor with a maximum power of 220 kW.

The Tesla SUV has a length, width, and height of 4,750 mm, 1,921 mm, and 1,624 mm, a wheelbase of 2,890 mm, and a top speed of 217 km/h, according to the pages.

Below are the filing images of the Model Y with product model number TSL6480BEVAR3.

It’s worth noting that Tesla launched the updated Model Y in China on October 1 with unchanged pricing, still starting at RMB 263,900 ($36,120), but with minor updates to features.

Deliveries of the new Model Y in China have begun, Tesla said yesterday on Weibo.

The new Model Y did not enter the MIIT catalogs before deliveries began. It’s not clear if the Model Y that made it into that latest catalog is the one Tesla just started delivering.
