Ford (NYSE: F) officially launched its new electric Bronco in China, intensifying its push to regain ground in the world’s largest electric vehicle (EV) market.

The American automaker rolled out the model in China today with a starting price of RMB 229,800 ($32,640), offering extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) and battery electric vehicle (BEV) options.

This aligns with pre-sales pricing, though Ford is offering limited-time incentives including trade-in subsidies of up to RMB 12,000 and cash subsidies of RMB 1,600.

The electric Bronco comes in five variants: three EREV models and two BEV models.

The EREV variants start at RMB 229,800, RMB 249,800, and RMB 272,800, while the BEV variants begin at RMB 259,800 and RMB 282,800.

The vehicle measures 5,025 mm in length, 1,960 mm in width, and 1,825 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,950 mm.

Its EREV versions feature a 1.5L turbocharged engine as the range extender, delivering a maximum power output of 110 kW. They features dual motors: the front motor delivers a peak power of 130 kW, while the rear motor produces 180 kW. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 5.8 seconds.

The EREV variants are equipped with a 43.7-kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, offering a CLTC battery range of 220 km. With a full tank of fuel and fully charged battery, the combined range reaches 1,220 km.

The BEV versions utilize a front motor with a maximum power of 130 kW and a rear motor with a maximum power of 202 kW, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds.

Notably, the model adopts a unibody design, prioritizing urban use.
