    GWM sees Nov sales rise 4.57% to 133,216 units, with overseas sales hitting new record

    GWM (HKG: 2333) saw moderate growth in vehicle sales last month, while overseas sales hitting a new record high.

    The automaker sold 133,216 vehicles in November, a 4.57 percent year-on-year increase but a 6.89 percent decrease from October, according to data released today.

    GWM’s overseas sales reached 57,309 units in November, marking the fourth consecutive month of record highs and accounting for 43.02 percent of total sales. This represents a 32.70 percent year-on-year increase and a 0.26 percent rise compared to October.

    November new energy vehicle (NEV) sales totaled 40,113 units, contributing 30.11 percent to GWM’s monthly sales. This represents an 11.43 percent year-on-year increase but a 13.09 percent decrease compared to October.

    GWM’s sales continue to be primarily driven by its Haval brand, which sold 75,383 units in November, accounting for 56.59 percent of the company’s monthly sales. This marks a 3.83 percent year-on-year decrease and a 14.57 percent decline compared to October.

    The Tank brand sold 24,135 units in November, marking its seventh consecutive month exceeding 20,000 units and contributing 18.12 percent of GWM’s monthly sales. This represents a 19.55 percent year-on-year increase and an 8.20 percent rise compared to October.

    The premium Wey brand sold 12,763 units in November, up 81.14 percent year-on-year and up 0.50 percent month-on-month.

    From January to November, GWM sold 1,199,652 vehicles, marking a 9.26 percent year-on-year increase.

    Overseas sales reached 448,648 units, up 8.94 percent year-on-year, accounting for 37.40 percent of GWM’s January-November sales.

    The Haval brand sold 692,101 units from January to November, a 11.13 percent increase year-on-year, contributing 57.69 percent of GWM’s sales during the same period.

    The Tank brand sold 211,584 vehicles during the same period, up 1.18 percent year-on-year, accounting for 17.64 percent of GWM’s total sales.

    The Wey brand sold 89,055 vehicles from January to November, surging 93.94 percent year-on-year, contributing 7.42 percent to GWM’s total sales during this period.

    As of the end of November, GWM’s global cumulative sales exceeded 16 million units, according to the company.


    GWM plans to build European plant with annual capacity target of 300,000 cars, report says

    GWM is scouting locations for its first European plant, aiming to achieve an annual production capacity of 300,000 cars in Europe by 2029, Reuters reported.
