Chery’s premium automotive brand Exeed today commenced pre-sales of its ET5 midsize SUV (sport utility vehicle), targeting young families.
The extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) model — continuing Exeed’s ET series — offers two variants in pre-sales, priced starting at RMB 159,900 ($22,530) and RMB 174,900.
In China, the ET5 is most widely known as Nio Inc’s (NYSE: NIO) mid-size electric sedan.
Exeed previously said that “ET” stands for “Enjoy Time,” embodying its vision to create a premium, joyful mobility experience for global family users.
The Exeed ET5 is a mid-size extended-range SUV that debuted at the 2025 Chengdu auto show in late August. It will compete against models including the BYD Song Plus DM-i, Leapmotor (HKG: 9863) C11, and Changan Deepal S7.
The vehicle measures 4,780 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,720 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,800 mm.

It is the first model to feature Horizon Robotics’ (HKG: 9660) Journey 6P chip and HSD (Horizon SuperDrive) smart driving system, delivering 560 TOPS of computing power.
The higher-priced variant has a LiDAR sensor, while the entry-level model does not.
The Exeed ET5 utilizes a 1.5T engine as its range extender, delivering a maximum power output of 115 kW.
It features a single-motor rear-wheel-drive configuration, standard-equipped with a single motor producing 195 kW peak power, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds.
The vehicle utilizes a 32.66 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery from Gotion High-tech (SHE: 002074), delivering a battery range of 210 kilometers on CLTC standards.
With a full tank and fully charged battery, the Exeed ET5 achieves a CLTC range of 1,310 kilometers.
The model supports fast charging, enabling a charge from 30 percent to 80 percent in 15 minutes.
Exeed is expanding its ET series, having also filed for the larger ET7 SUV, according to a regulatory filing disclosed on November 10.

From January to October, Chery Group exported 1.06 million vehicles, rising 12.9 percent year-on-year.
