- RoboSense delivered its one millionth automotive LiDAR, becoming the first company in the world to hit this milestone.
- It sold 519,800 ADAS LiDARs in 2024, accounting for 95.52 percent of total sales.

Chinese LiDAR maker RoboSense Technology (HKG: 2498) has reached a new milestone in automotive LiDAR deliveries, as an increasing number of electric vehicle (EV) models adopt the component to enhance their autonomous driving capabilities.
RoboSense’s one millionth automotive LiDAR unit has been officially delivered, making it the first technology company globally to achieve this milestone, the company announced today.
The LiDAR maker launched its mass-producible M-platform ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) LiDAR in 2019 and began its first deliveries in June 2021.
The M-platform LiDAR products have become the most widely adopted and mass-produced automotive LiDAR platform globally to date, leading the industry into the era of mass-produced smart driving, RoboSense said.
Earlier this year, RoboSense began mass production and delivery of its E-platform all-solid-state LiDAR products and launched a new product from its latest EM platform.
In 2024, RoboSense held a 26 percent market share in the passenger vehicle LiDAR market, the highest globally, according to a report from market research firm Yole Group cited in the company’s announcement.
As of the end of March, RoboSense had partnered with 30 global automakers and Tier 1 suppliers, including Geely Auto (HKG: 0175), SAIC Motor (SHA: 600104), GAC Group, FAW Group, and GAC Toyota.
In addition to ADAS LiDAR, RoboSense’s business has expanded into the robotics LiDAR sector.
On February 24, RoboSense announced that it had produced its one millionth LiDAR unit and delivered it to a humanoid robotics company.
In 2024, RoboSense sold 544,200 LiDARs, representing a 113 percent increase from the 256,000 units sold in 2023, according to data released on January 7.
The company sold 519,800 ADAS LiDARs in 2024, accounting for 95.52 percent of total sales.
LiDARs for robots and other applications sold 24,400 units in 2024, contributing 4.48 percent.
In the meantime, Xpeng, one of the first EV makers to use LiDARs, will ditch the component on its upcoming new model, the P7+.
