Zeekr (NYSE: ZK) today announced that deliveries of its new Zeekr 7X electric SUV (sport utility vehicle) surpassed 10,000 units, 25 days after the model went on sale.

This is the fastest delivery of a luxury electric vehicle (EV) in China’s market, the company said on Weibo.

Zeekr launched the Zeekr 7X, its second model for the mainstream EV market, on September 20, with deliveries starting on September 21.

The Zeekr 7X surpassed 6,000 locked-in orders in the first 24 hours after launch, and delivered more than 5,000 units in the 10 days after deliveries began, Zeekr previously said.

As of October 7, firm orders for the Zeekr 7X topped 20,000 units, with deliveries expected to exceed 10,000 units in the first full delivery month, according to an October 8 statement shared with CnEVPost.

The model is offered in three variants in China with starting prices of RMB 229,900 ($32,350), RMB 249,900, and RMB 269,900, respectively.

Among the first owners of the Zeekr 7X, family users accounted for 74 percent, who care about safety, Zeekr said today.

A total of 68.3 percent of owners are new parents and 74.9 percent are people who need to commute daily, according to the company.

Founded in 2021, Zeekr’s current models on sale include the Zeekr 001, Zeekr 007, Zeekr 009, Zeekr X.

The Zeekr 001 shooting brake and Zeekr 009 MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) target niche markets.

The Zeekr 007 electric sedan, which was launched on December 27, 2023, is the company’s first model for the mainstream EV market.

Zeekr delivered 21,333 vehicles in September, up 76.99 percent year-on-year and up 18.42 percent from September, according to data released October 1 by the company.

So far this year, Zeekr has delivered 142,873 vehicles, up 80.79 percent from a year earlier.
